Rotary Club of Greater Silchar distributing drinking water since last 15 days among flood victims

July 10: Water, seems to be a very simple word, isn’t it? But this devastating flood has taught people the preciousness and value of water, which is rightly termed as ‘life’. It is in this backdrop that the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar has been continuously distributing around 40,000 litres of water everyday at various places of Silchar who are facing scarcity of water.

Today, it was the 15th day, and the members of Rotary Club of Greater Silchar were still on with this water distribution project. On this day, the Club have distributed 20,000 litres of water to the stranded people of Ramnagar bypass. Also, ration kits were distributed to around 100 needy families. The President, Rtn. A B Choudhury, Rtn. Joyjit Biswas, Rtn. Arijit Biswas, Rtn. Rajarshi Bhattacharjee were present during the occasion.
