Review the report of Clause 6 committee by legal experts, Shah says to Sonowal
Sept. 21: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and his Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Sunday and discussed a range of issues including the status of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the implementation of Clause 6 of the Assam Accord.
Home Minister Amit Shah has directed Sonowal to get the recommendations of a high-level committee on Clause 6 implementation submitted in February to be examined by legal experts before sending it to the Centre. The meeting discussed the prompt implementation of the Bodo Accord. Decision was taken to implement many clauses of the accord within next 30 days.

Union Home Minister Shah was very positive as he assured the Chief Minister that all the outstanding issues will be dealt with positively, stated an official release from Sonowal’s office.
