Review meeting held to discuss conditions of Sluice Gates under Silchar Sadar Revenue Circle

April 24: A review meeting on conditions of Sluice Gates under Silchar Sadar Revenue Circle was held in the office of the Silchar Municipal Board (SMB) on last Thursday. The review meeting was held in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Cachar, Executive Officer Silchar Municipality Board, Circle Officer- Silchar Sadar Revenue Circle.

During the review meeting, the role and responsibilities of Water Resource Department, Municipality & Irrigation in the maintenance of Sluice Gates in Silchar town was thoroughly discussed. For better implementation of the plan, three teams were formed who will work specially on 11 vulnerable Suice Gates, which are nearby Silchar town. These three teams were asked to submit a detail report on the condition of sluice Gates within three days.
