Resident of Sonai Road missing since 9 Dec, wife files FIR at Rangirkhari TOP

Dec. 18: A 50-year-old man, Barun Kumar Banik, who is an employee of Mizoram government went missing from his house (No. 26) at Ram Mohan Sarani, Sonai Road, Silchar since 9 December, 2021. In this connection, his wife Chandrani Banik has lodged a missing complaint at Rangirkhari Town Out Post (TOP) on 17 December, 2021.

In the FIR, Chandrani Banik stated that her husband Barun Kumar Banik went out of their Sonai Road house at around 5.30 PM without informing his family as to where he was going. Since then, 9 days have elapsed, but Barun Banik has not returned back. His wife tried to contact him in his mobile, but then found that her husband has left the mobile at home. In the FIR, the lady further wrote that when her husband went out of their home on 9 December, he was wearing a blue jacket, jeans and blue pant. He also carried a red bad with him. Chandrani Banik also appealed that in case of any information regarding her missing husband, then she can be contacted at 98649-25840.
