Record fall in COVID-19 cases in Assam; only 396 tests +ve on Sunday

Oct. 11: On Sunday, 396 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,93,783, out of which, 29,612 are active cases. During the day, 11,376 tests were done in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 396 #COVID cases detected out of 11376 tests today. We have been able to maintain low positivity rate continuously (3.48% today) Kamrup (M) – 112.”

Moreover, during the day, another 05 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 816.
