করিমগঞ্জে ৪টি, স্বশাসিত জেলা আসনে ১টি বুথে পুনরায় ভোট ২৪ এপ্রিল
Re-polling in 4 polling booths in Karimganj & 1 in Autonomous District on 24 April

২২ এপ্রিল : শিলচর লোকসভা আসনের কোনও ভোটগ্রহণ কেন্দ্রে পুনরায় ভোটের নির্দেশ না এলেও করিমগঞ্জ সংরক্ষিত লোকসভা আসন ও স্বশাসিত জেলার ডিফু ভোটগ্রহণ কেন্দ্রের মোট ৫টি বুথে পুনরায় ভোটের নির্দেশ এসেছে। এর মধ্যে ৪টি বুথ রয়েছে করিমগঞ্জে এবং একটি স্বশাসিত জেলা আসনে। নির্বাচন কমিশনের সিনিয়র প্রিন্সিপাল সেক্রেটারির স্বাক্ষর করা একটি চিঠি আজই সংশ্লিষ্ট দুটি আসনের রিটার্নিং অফিসারদের কাছে এসে পৌছেছে। এই ৫টি কেন্দ্রে আগামী ২৪ এপ্রিল সকাল ৭টা থেকে বিকেল ৫টা পর্যন্ত ভোটগ্রহণ করা হবে।

করিমগঞ্জ লোকসভা কেন্দ্রের যে ৪টি বুথে ভোট নেওয়া হবে সেই কেন্দ্রগুলো হল, দক্ষিণ করিমগঞ্জ বিধানসভা এলাকার ৪৬৭ নং বাটইয়া এলপি স্কুলের দক্ষিণ অংশে থাকা ১০৫ নম্বর ভোটগ্রহণ কেন্দ্র, ৩৬১ নম্বর গন্ধর্বখনি এলপি স্কুলে থাকা ১৩৪ নম্বর ভোটগ্রহণ কেন্দ্র এবং ৩৬৬ নম্বর আতানগর এলপি স্কুলে ডান ও বামপাশে থাকা যথাক্রমে ১৫২ ও ১৫৩ নম্বর ভোট গ্রহণ কেন্দ্র।

স্বশাসিত জেলা আসনে আপার দিল্লাজি এলপি স্কুলে থাকা ১৩৬ নম্বর ভোটগ্রহণ কেন্দ্রেও পুনরায় ভোটগ্রহণ করার নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে। প্রসঙ্গত, রিটার্নিং অফিসার ও পর্যবেক্ষকের রিপোর্টের ভিত্তিতে এই কয়েকটি বুথে পুনরায় ভোট গ্রহণের নির্দেশ দিয়েছে নির্বাচন কমিশন।

April 22: Although there was no direction from the Election Commission of India (ECI) for any re-poll in the Silchar Parliamentary constituency, but things were not so smooth for the nearby Karimganj Parliamentary constituency. As per ECI, four polling stations of Karimganj and one polling station in Diphu will go for fresh polls on 24 April, 2019.

All these 4 polling stations are in the South Assembly segment. The polling stations in 1-Karimganj (SC) parliamentary constituency where re-polling will be conducted are:

1. PS No. 105 – Batoiya LP School (Right Side);
2. PS No. 134 – Gandarvakhani LP School;
3. PS 152 – Atanagar LP School (Right Side);
4. PS No. 153 – Atanagar LP School (Left Side).

Further, in 19-Diphu Legislative Assembly Segment under 3-Autonomous District (ST) HPC, re-polling will be held at PS No. 136 – Upper Dillaji LP School. Polling in all these 5 polling stations will be held on 24 April, 2019 from 7 AM to 5 PM. In this regard, a letter issued by the ECI has reached the Returning Officers of the two Parliamentary Constituencies on Monday.
