Rajdeep Roy gets BJP’s ticket for Silchar Lok Sabha seat
March 21: Ultimately after long wait, BJP declared the list of candidates for Parliamentary Elections 2019. Dr. Rajdeep Roy, spokesperson of state BJP has got the party ticket for the prestigious Silchar seat.

Dr. Roy will face Sushmita Dev of Congress in the big fight. Both of them faced each other during the Assembly Elections a few years back when Sushmita had the last smile. But speaking to way2barak Dr Rajdeep Roy said that this time the outcome of the fight will be different.
Meanwhile from Karimganj Kripanath Mallah has got ticket of BJP. He will have to contest against Swarup Das of Congress. Apart from them, 6 other names of candidates of Assam were also declared.
The list of candidates declared on Thursday contained the names of 184 candidates for 22 states. The Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party met under the Presidentship of Shri Amit Shah on 16th, 19th & 20th March 2019. Meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh, Minister of Home Affairs, Arun Jaitley, Minister of Finance and Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs and all other members of the Central Election Committee of the BJP. The Committee has decided the 184 names for the ensuing General Elections to the Parliamentary Constituency of different States.
The first phase for 91 seats is scheduled on April 11th and the second for 97 seats on the April 18th, 2019. The election for 543 Lok Sabha seats is being conducted over seven phases till May 19th, 2019. Counting of votes will take place on May 23rd, 2019.
