Rainfall warning issued for 15 states including Assam over next 4 days

Jan. 19: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued rainfall warning in a number of states and Union Territories. Scattered to fairly widespread light/ moderate rainfall has been predicted over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during 20 January to 22 January.

Scattered to widespread light/moderate rainfall is likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, UP, Rajasthan and MP between January 21 and 23. Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Himachal Pradesh on January 22. The wet spell will be due to fresh active Western disturbance.
