Railways to run 392 festival special trains including Silchar- Guwahati tri-weekly

Oct. 13: The Ministry of Railways Tuesday approved Zonal Railways’ proposal for operation of additional 196 pairs (392 trains) of Festival Special trains. The trains will be operated between 20 October to 30 November. The ministry of railways said in a statement that the decision was taken as the national transporter is expecting a rush of passenger during the upcoming festive season. These festival special trains will be operated at a speed of 55kmph and the fares applicable will be those of special trains.

05611/ 05612 Silchar – Guwahati Express train has been approved by Railway board to be run as “Festive special” along with other 195 pairs of train between 20 October to 30 November. The exact schedule will be announced soon.
