Provide specific information of demand for money made by govt employee: DGP GP Singh

July 30: Special Director General of Police (DGP) Law and Order, GP Singh asked the citizens to report to the police on the helpline number on demand made by government employees paying money. He, however, urged upon the people to provide specific information of demand made by a government employee so that the police may lay trap and catch such corrupt employees red-handed.

Taking to his twitter handle on Friday, Special Director General of Police (DGP) Law and Order, GP Singh wrote, “Please give specific information of demand made by a government employee before giving money. This would allow us to lay trap and catch them red-handed.”

In this connection, the DGP also shared helpline numbers so that citizens may report any kind of monetary demands made by government employees. The helpline numbers are– 0361-2462295,  1800-3453767, 6026901243. Further, two email id’s were also shared in this connection, which are: adgp-vac@assampolice.gov.in and complaints.vac@gmail.com
