Provide ₹4 lakh aid to kin of Covid victims, demands opposition during all-party meet

Nov. 28: Thirty one political parties attended an all-party meeting convened by the Union Government on Sunday, a day ahead of the winter session of the Parliament. A total of 42 persons attended the meeting held in New Delhi. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi skipped the meeting. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal were present from the government’s side.

During the meeting, the opposition parties demanded that Rs. 4 lakh compensation should be given to kin of Covid-19 victims. AAP leader Sanjay Singh staged a walkout. He claimed that he was debarred from speaking during the all-party meet.
