With 48 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 314 on 8 June, 4 deaths registered
Active cases 2,786 in Cachar; 558 patients discharged on Wednesday
June 9: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 11.40 PM. As per the latest data, 48 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 314 persons were found positive in the district on 9 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 270 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 2,786. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Wednesday night. Also, 558 patients were discharged after getting cured during the day. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 450 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 12,810 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 267 persons were found positive, whereas 47 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 13,702 whereas during this phase, 10,782 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 2,786 active patients:
- 200 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 13 at MH
- 43 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 30 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 20 at CRPF Doyapur
- 02 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 36 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 13 at Valley Hospital
- 04 at South City Hospital
- 03 at Nightingale Hospital
- 12 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 36 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 2,374 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 8 June to 5 PM on 9 June) witnessed demise of 04 Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Of the 04 deceased, 02 are from Cachar district, while 01 each are from Karimganj and Hailakandi.
The deceased were identified as Monir Ahmed (59) from Silcoorie in Cachar, Gopa Namasudra (38) from Karimganj, Namor Ali (71) from Hailakandi and Kabita Sarkar (30) from Harinagar in Cachar district.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 9 June, there were 213 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 86 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 127 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 24 patients were put under ventilator support and 149 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 33 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 32 of them were discharged. Further, 19 of them have opted for home isolation.
