Programme on fighting superstitions & adopting scientific thinking held in Cachar
Feb. 5: A one-day programme on “Sanskar” (Manuhe Manohor Babe) which aims at fighting superstitions and bring in logic based thinking was organised by the District Administration ,Cachar on Saturday in the Conference Hall of Zila Parishad, Silchar in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Smti. Keerthi Jalli.
A skit on not believing local quacks was displayed. DC Jalli encouraged everybody to adopt scientific thinking, forget about quacks and save precious lives. Corona was managed because of scientific approach and not quacks. She said knowledge is the only way to beat darkness. The meeting ended with all dignitaries taking a picture on a broken mirror which was earlier considered a superstition to break all such myths.
Also present during the occasion were MLA Mihir Kanti Shome, Kishor Nath, DDC Jesicca Lalsim and other dignitaries.
