Prof. Dilip Kumar Baidya, the New Director Of NIT Silchar
way2barak, may 19 : Prof. Dilip Kumar Baidya, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, has been appointed the Director of the National Institute of Technology, Silchar.
Professor Baidya completed his PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from IISC Bangalore and joined IIT Kharagpur as a professor in 1994. To date, he has been cited more than 700 times and won numerous awards, including the IE(I) best paper award in 2005 and the IGS best paper award in 2011.
