Process on for distribution of rice, flour to beneficiaries free of cost in Hailakandi

July 16: The Hailakandi district administration is making arrangements for distribution of rice and wheat to Anna Antodaya Yojana (AAY) and Priority Household (PHH) beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) free of cost. An order to this effect was issued on Tuesday by Deputy Commissioner, Megh Nidhi Dahal.

Under PMGKAY, 5 kg rice per person per month for the month of July will be allotted to 15,006 AAY and 1,13,824 PHH beneficiaries to the tune of 28,848 quintals. Moreover, rice to AAY and PHH beneficiaries would be allotted for month of August free of cost. 4443.50 quintals of rice will be given away to tea garden beneficiaries and 26,808 quintals to beneficiaries other than tea gardens. In another order issued on Monday, wheat (flour) will be allotted to a total of 1,08,903 PHH card holders at 1.985 kgs per card amounting to 2,162 quintals for July.
