Pre-Final Test for the students of H.S. 2nd Year to take place by Dec, 2022: AHSEC

way2barak, Nov.19:  The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) decided to get conducted a Pre-Final Test for the students of the H.S. 2nd Year Class within the month of December, 2022 in all the recognized institutions under its jurisdiction. In this connection, all the Heads of the Institutions concerned were asked to make arrangement for holding the said examination, such as, setting up of subject wise question papers, supplying of blank answer-scripts, issuance of admit cards, evaluation of answer-scripts, declaration of results, issuances of marks-sheets etc. This was stated in a notification issued by the Controller of Examinations of AHSEC on 15 Nov, 2022.

It will be mandatory on the part of the examination conducting institutions to upload the subject wise marks and other details of the students in the Council’s portal, invariably within the period of 15th January, 2023 to 31st January,2023. Link of the portal for uploading the marks shall be communicated in due course of time.

The question papers should be set up by the teacher(s) concerned as per syllabus of the Council. The examination of the subjects having practical parts will be of (i) 70/30, (70 marks for theory and 30 marks for practical (ii) 30/70, ( 30 marks for theory and 70 marks for practical) (iii) 50/50, (50 marks for theory and 50 marks for practical) as per syllabi. Subjects having no practical will be of 100 marks.

In respect of the subject Swadesh Adhyayan, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy etc, there will be 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment/project works. The practical examinations will be conducted by the internal examiner(s) and supporting staff. Institutions shall preserve the answer-scripts of the said examination, which may be sought by the Council as and when necessary.
