শিলচরের হোটেলে উদ্ধার হলো আইজলের যুবকের মৃতদেহ। পুলিশ মৃতকে সাগর দাস বলে শনাক্ত করেছে। সেন্ট্রাল রোডের স্বাগত হোটেলের ১১১ নম্বর রুমে কালই উঠেছিলেন তিনি। রাতে যথারীতি খাওয়াদাওয়া করেন। আজ বেলা আড়াইটা পর্যন্ত তার কোনও সাড়াশব্দ না পেয়ে হোটেল কর্তৃপক্ষ শিলচর সদর থানায় খবর দেন। পরে ম্যাজিস্ট্রেটের উপস্থিতিতে পুলিশ মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে মরণোত্তর পরীক্ষার জন্য মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠায়। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, মৃতদেহ মেঝেতে পড়ে ছিল। পাশে ছিল একটি স্যুইসাইড নোট। কিন্তু কীভাবে মারা গেলেন আইজলের সাগর দাস? স্যুইসাইড নোটে কী লেখা ছিল? আসলেই কি আত্মহত্যা? তাকে খুন করা হয়নি তো? তদন্তের দোহাই দিয়ে পুলিশ কোনও প্রশ্নের উত্তর দিচ্ছে না। তাতে সাগর দাসের মৃত্যু নিয়ে রহস্য গাঢ়তর হচ্ছে।

Dead body of a youth from Aizawl was recovered from a hotel at Silchar. The deceased have been identified by the police as one Sagar Das. As per hotel records, Sagar Das checked in Room No.111 of Hotel Swagat at Central road, Silchar on Tuesday. He had his dinner and went inside his room. However, when it was noticed that there was no activity of Sagar till 2.30 PM today, the hotel management gave informed to the police.

Police forces reached the spot and discovered that Sagar Das was lying dead on the floor of his room. In presence of the magistrate, the dead body was sent for autopsy by the police to Silchar Medical College & Hospital. Prima facie evidence revealed that the man has committed suicide. A suicide note was also recovered by the police near the dead body. But how did Sagar Das die? What was written on the suicide note? Was it really an incident of suicide? Was he murdered? Police has refrained to divulge any such information for the sake of investigation. The silence of police has further intensified the mystery of the death of the man from Aizawl.
