Police-BSF recovered 2,60,000 yaba tablets in Cachar

way2barak, Oct 13: Based on a secret information, Cachar Police along with BSF has conducted a special operation against the transportation of narcotic substances at Katakhal area, Silchar and intercepted one Tata Xenon vehicle bearing Regd No MZ05 9625 and recovered twenty six packets containing 260000 yaba tablets from specially made secret chambers .

According to SP Cachar, Numal Mahatta,  the price of the narcotics substance in the black market is about 70 crores .The consignment of the narcotics substance is illegally transported from Champai district of Mizoram .

Further investigation has been on.Two persons fled away. Search operation continues to nab them, says SP.
