PMAY sanction letters to beneficiaries given away in cachar

way2barak, February 18:Along with the rest of state sanction letters for  Pradhan Mantri Abas yojana was distributed in cachar.
 At a function organised by Cachar administration at Silchar Gandhi Bhavan on thursday, Minister for Transport Excise &  Fisheries Parimal Suklabaidya  Silchar MP Dr Rajdeep Roy and MLA Silchar Dipayan Chakraborty handed over sanction letters to the beneficiaries.
A  total of 1 lakh 30 thousand rupees was given to the 20 thousands 57 beneficiaries of 162 GP areas of Cachar district in three installments under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) for construction of houses in rural areas.   The amount have been deposited into their respective bank accounts.
In the first installment, 22 thousand 500 rupees, in the second and third installments, the remaining amount will be paid for the construction of houses in rural areas.
Speaking on the occasion , Minister Parimal Suklabaidya,who was the chief guest, said “The Chief Minister of the State, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is playing an effective role in order to provide housing facilities to the poor and economically backward families of the rural areas of our state in order to implement the vision of Housing for All of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modiji”.
 The minister said that out of 25 crore families, 3.5 crore families have already been given housing funds by the central government.  He appealed to all to use this capital properly for building houses at block and village panchayat level.
MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy, who was present as special guest on the occasion, said in his speech that at the same time in the presence of two Union Ministers in all the districts of the state and in Guwahati, the Chief Minister under the Pradhan Mantri Abas Yojana (Rural) is disbursing the funds of the scheme which has started live telecast.  He said that Prime Minister in 2014 with the mantra of sabka sath sabka bikash started his tenure,
Dr Roy said that starting from Swachh Abhiyan, construction of 11 crore toilets in rural areas of the country, gas supply to 10 crore houses under Ujjala project, Dhan Jan Yojana and many more projects are being implemented.
Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, who was present as a special guest, spoke on this occasion.
He said that in the past many scams were reported in order to get money for house construction under this scheme but during the period of present government this malpractices have been stopped completely  and asked to report any scam found immediately.
MLA Dipayan Chakraborty said that his door is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week if anyone has any complaint, the current government is aware of this.  Cachar Zilla Parishad Chairman Amitabh Rai, CEO Ranjit Kumar Laskar gave relevant speeches on the occasion.
 DC Rohan Kumar Jha from Cachar delivered a vote of thanks in the event and Zilla Parishad Assistant Chairperson Lovely Chakraborty, Kathigorah MLA’s representative and Manav Singh among others also participated in the event.
