We will have to keep wearing masks in time to come, says PM Modi
April 26: Post-COVID-19 and the world will probably not be the same anymore. People will have to take precaution to prevent themselves for getting infected. Wearing masks, washing hands frequently, not spitting in public place etc. would be the most followed after norms in the present world following coronavirus pandemic. On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “We will have to keep wearing masks in times to come. Masks will become a symbol of civilised society.”
Among the welcome changes in the post-Coronavirus era is the awareness on the need to wear masks.

PM Modi further said, “It doesn’t mean that all those wearing masks are sick. if you want to protect yourselves and others from coronavirus, the use of masks is important.” As regards not spitting in public place, the Prime Minister said, “We in India always knew that spitting in public places is wrong. Yet, it continued in places. Now is the best time to ensure we do not spit. This will increase basic hygiene and strengthen the fight against COVID-19.”
He also said, “Do what you can to improve immunity. Keep in mind that our traditional systems offer great methods to do so. Let us make these systems popular and share them in a language in which the world understands.” The Prime Minister said that in his popular programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday.
