Plethora of events organised by Jagannath Singh College to mark ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav’

Aug. 14: On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav, a bundle of events and activities were organised by Jagannath Singh College, Udharbond from 10th to 13th August, 2022. On 10 August, an awareness programme was held in the college campus involving the students to sensitize them about Har Ghar Tiranga. Dr. Sontosh Kumar Chaturvedi and Dr. Shyam Mamud Barbhuiya, Assistant Professors of the college delivered speech in the programme.

A Tiranga Yatra was organised on 11 August at Dayapur part II area and National Flags were distributed among the locals by the students and staff of the college. International Youth Day was celebrated on 12 August. In this programme, Dr. Shyam Mamud Barbhuiya, Assistant Professor of the college delivered a speech and discussed various issues and problems of youths and its solution.

A quiz competition on the theme of freedom struggle was also held on that day. Dr. Susmita Mitra, Assistant Professor of the college acted as quiz master. A plantation programme was organised in the college campus on 13 August. The entire programme was encouraged and monitored by Dr. S. Somarendro Singha, principal of the college. The NSS Unit of the college played an active role in organising the programme.
