People may test Covid +ve after vaccination, but the disease won’t be life threatening, says experts

April 25: Tell us how much protection will we get from the coronavirus vaccine, how assured we can feel after being vaccinated? Prime minister Narendra Modi asked this question to Dr. Naveed Nazeer Shah from Srinagar while interacting with him in his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baath’ on Sunday.

Responding to the query, Dr. Naveed Nazeer Shah said tat our country has two made-in-India vaccines available. Other companies too who have done their trials found that its efficacy is over 60 percent. “Some people got positive even after getting the vaccine, but the severity will not be too much and cannot prove to be fatal among them,” added the doctor.

PM Modi said, “From 1 May, vaccination for all those above 18 years will begin. It is an appeal to the people to get vaccinated and protect yourselves, our society and our community.”
