People from Meghalaya stranded in Northeastern states to be allowed to come back from 5 May
May 02: After Assam opened its door for its people stranded in other Northeastern states, the Meghalaya government has also now come forward to permit movement to its people who have got stuck in the Northeast states due to the ongoing nationwide lockdown. This information was tweeted by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Saturday night. The step was taken after a directive in this regard was issued by the central government.

The tweet of the Chief Minister also informed that the Meghalaya government will permit the movement of its citizens stranded in the Northeast states with effect from 5 May, 2020. In this connection, the Conrad Sangma appealed to the people to call the assigned phone numbers or else fill the form online at http://meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid on or before 4 May, 2020. Sangma twitted, “The Govt. of Meghalaya will permit the movement of its citizens stranded in the #NorthEast States w.e.f 05/05/20. Fill the form at to register or call the assigned phone numbers 𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 4𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒂𝒚.”
Further, the Chief Minister in his tweet also provided information for those people of Meghalaya who are stranded outside the Northeastern states. they were also ask to call some assigned numbers.
