Pediatrician Dr. D. J. Nath tests positive

August 18: Eminent Pediatrician Dr. D.J. Nath of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH), Dr. Dhrubajyoti Nath (D.J. Nath) tested positive in RT-PCR Test on Tuesday. As per reports, Dr. D.J. Nath (43) gave him swab sample on 17 August and his positive report came on 18 August. he is asymptomatic. This was confirmed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH.

Further, a health worker who is an employee of the Department of Microbiology, SMCH also tested positive in RT-PCR Test. The health worker, Haider Hussain Choudhury (33) was infected with coronavirus as he came in contact with a confirmed case. He too is asymptomatic.
