বইমেলার মঞ্চে আজ পদ্মনাথ ভট্টাচার্যের সংকলন প্রকাশ
Padmanath Bhattacharjee’s collection volume to be released in Book Fair today

১৬ নভেম্বর : শুক্রবার সন্ধ্যায় বইমেলার মুক্তমঞ্চে উন্মোচিত হচ্ছে উত্তর-পূর্ব ভারতের ইতিহাস, সমাজ ও সংস্কৃতি গবেষণার অগ্রণী পুরোধা পদ্মনাথ ভট্টাচার্য বিদ্যাবিনোদের নির্বাচিত রচনাবলীর একটি সংকলন। সংকলনটি উন্মোচন করবেন ডাঃ কুমার কান্তি (লক্ষ্মণ) দাস। অনুষ্ঠান শুরু হবে সন্ধে ৫টায়। এতে বিশিষ্টদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত থাকবেন কটন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বাংলা বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক প্রসূন বর্মণ।

প্রসঙ্গত, এ বছরই পদ্মনাথ ভট্টাচার্যের জন্মের সার্ধশতবর্ষ পূর্ণ হয়েছে। এ উপলক্ষেই এই সংকলন প্রকাশ। এতে পদ্মনাথ ভট্টাচার্যের ১৮টি প্রবন্ধকে চারটি পর্যায়ে ভাগ করা হয়েছে।এছাড়াও তাঁকে নিয়ে আরও কিছু লেখা রয়েছে। এই অনুষ্ঠানকে সার্থক করে তুলতে উদ্যোক্তারা সবার উপস্থিতি কামনা করেছেন।

November 16: Friday evening will go down the annals of history to be a significant day, especially for academicians and researchers who have special interest into the history, culture and society of North East India in general. The evening will be a witness to the release of the collection of high standard literary accounts of Mahamohopadhyay Padmanath Bhattacharjee Vidyabinode. The book will be released by eminent surgeon Dr. Kumar Kanti (Lakshman) Das at 5 PM on Friday in the Book Fair premises. Among others, Prashun Barman, Assistant Professor of Bengali in Gauhati University will also be present during the occasion. Prashun Barman has also edited this volume.

It needs mention here that the birth centenary of Padmanath Bhattacharjee was celebrated this year. It is to commemorate this event, that the said book will be released. In this book, a total of 18 articles written by Padmanath Bhattacharjee has been included in 4 parts. Apart from this, a few articles on him have also found their place in this book. The organisers of this programme has requested the people in general to be present during this Book Release ceremony.
