Out of 39,780 tests done on Thursday, 1585 found +ve in Assam; 14 deaths registered
Active cases 36,067 in Assam
Oct. 1: On Thursday, a total of 39,780 tests were done in the state, out of which, 1585 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,82,396, out of which 36,067 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1585 #COVID cases detected out of 39780 tests today. Our Positivity Rate continues to be low for 4th consecutive day (3.98% today).”
Further, during the day, another 14 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 711.
