Out of 31,780 tests done on Tuesday, 1184 found +ve in Assam; 18 deaths registered

Oct. 6: On Tuesday, 1184 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,88,902, out of which, 34,633 are active cases. During the day, 31,780 tests were done in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1184 #COVID cases detected out of 31780 tests today. Positivity Rate for the day- 3.73% Kamrup M- 270; Jorhat- 103.”

Moreover, during the day, another 18 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 778.
