Out of 29,896 tests done on Wednesday, 2098 found +ve in Assam; 11 deaths registered
Active cases 31,944 in Assam
Sept. 23: On Wednesday, a total of 29,896 tests were done in the state, out of which, 2,098 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,63,491, out of which 31,944 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2098 #COVID cases detected today out of 29896 tests. Positivity Rate- 7.02% Kamrup M- 505; Jorhat- 172; Dibrugarh- 160; Lakhimpur- 152.”
Further, during the day, another 11 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 597.
