Out of 1,39,868 tests done on Wednesday, 1427 found +ve in Assam; 04 deaths registered

Oct. 14: On Wednesday, 1427 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,98,213, out of which, 30,320 are active cases. During the day, 1,39,868 tests were done in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1427 #COVID cases detected out of 139,868 tests performed. Proud moment as #Assam performs more than 1 lakh tests for 3rd consecutive day. Positivity Rate- 1.02%.”

Moreover, during the day, another 04 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 834.
