Out of 1,34,570 tests done on Tuesday, 3592 found +ve in Assam; 13 deaths registered
Active cases 34,241 in Assam
Sept. 29: On Tuesday, a total of 1,34,570 tests were done in the state, out of which, 3592 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,77,221, out of which 34,241 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “I am so proud that second day in a row, our teams carried out an incredibly 1 lakh plus tests. I admire their tenacity and commitment. 3592 COVID cases detected out of 134570 tests, positivity rate-2.67%.”
Further, during the day, another 13 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 680.
