Out of 1 lakh plus tests done on Monday, 1521 found +ve in Assam; 10 deaths registered

Oct. 12: On Monday, 1521 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,95,304, out of which, 29,896 are active cases. During the day, 1,07,900 tests were done in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ In what shall we treat as a better outcome, I am glad to share that we carried out one lakh plus (107900) tests and only 1521 cases detected, taking the positivity rate further down to 1.41%.”

Moreover, during the day, another 10 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 826.
