Orientation Programme of Teacher’s on Identification & Assessment of Children with ASD held in Cachar

Feb. 21: An Orientation Programme of Teacher’s on Identification and Assessment of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders was conducted on Friday, which was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli. The programme was organised by National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan)- (NIEPED) in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha, Cachar.

DC Cachar distributed bags of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM) to the children with Disabilities and ceremonially distributed the Certificates of participation to some of the participants. DEEO cum DMC, DPO Inclusive Education, Manogna NEIPED, MoSJE were also present.

In Cachar district, around 159 TLM kits were distributed, the highest number in the state due to the active participation of DPO. DC Jalli spoke about the need of developing a kinder world through empathy and inclusiveness.
