One Silchar based person arrested at Amingaon with heroin

way2barak, 6 December : Based on the source information that narcotics would be transported in an Alto No AS 24 B 2485 from Silchar to Barpeta, police intercepted the vehicle at Amingaon. After thorough checking, they recovered 13 soap boxes of heroin weighing 182 gms (without cover) hidden in secret compartment in the car.

One Silchar based person namely Masoom Choudhury (23 yrs) of vill Hawaitang, Sonai Road, Ps Dholai and his Barpeta based associate Kazi Sanowar Hussain (24yrs) of vill Pal Hazi, Ps Barpeta were arrested. Police said, necessary legal proceedings being initiated.
