On returning from Kota, boys to be quarantined at Sarusajai Stadium & girls at hotels
April 25: A total of 391 students from Kota in Rajasthan are on their way to Assam. They will be reaching Assam on Sunday evening. After initial checking at Srirampur, they will come to Guwahati. The boys will be quarantined at Sarusajai Stadium, whereas the girls will be kept under quarantine in 3 hotels of the city. This was informed by the State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma during a press briefing at NHM Office in Guwahati on Sunday afternoon.
The Assam government air-dropped eight police officers to Kota on Thursday who are accompanying the students back home. The 391 students are on their way back by 18 buses and will be reaching Assam on Sunday. The students have themselves paid Rs. 7,000 per head for the expense of the journey.
On Saturday night, Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “On their way to Assam from Kota in 18 buses, 391 students were hosted at Kushinagar by BJP MP Sri @Vijaydubeybjp & @DistrictMagist1 ; served food and given a Budhist locket as memento. Grateful to UP CM @myogiadityanath for this kind act. Children were happy.”
