Octopad player Munna Sinha passes away

Aug 2: Renowned octopad player of Silchar Munna Sinha passed away on Monday morning at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). A soft spoken gentleman, Munna Sinha was very popular among the musicians. He was suffering from heart and kidney related ailments. His death was mourned by music fraternity across Barak Valley.

Informing about this, another renowned musician, Dilip Sinha said, “Since last 2 years, Munna Sinha was suffering due to low hemoglobin. It was then that 3 units of blood was given to him. He also went for treatment in the past at NEIGRIHMS Shillong. On Saturday, he complained of severe breathlessness. He was then admitted at SMCH. However, as his condition did not improve, so on Monday morning preparation was made to shift him to Guwahati for better treatment. But unfortunately, he passed away today in the morning.”

Munna Sinha, a resident of Malugram is survived by his wife, a son, brother and a host of other kith and kin.
