Number of recovered patients cross 1 lakh-mark in Assam
Sept. 8: On Tuesday, 2166 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, the number of recovered patients crossed the 1 lakh-mark and reached 1,01,239. At present, there are 29,203 active cases in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “With discharge today, we have crossed 1 Lakh recovered patients. We bow down to efforts of medical team. With this spirit, we shall win over #COVID19.”
Also, 2579 cases of COVID-19 were detected in Assam during the day. With this, a total of 1,30,823 positive cases were registered in Assam. Further, 8 persons died in Assam on Tuesday due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll to 378.
