হিন্দি দিবসেও এনআরসি-ই ইস্যু
NRC Remains the key issue even during Hindi Dibosh

১৪ সেপ্টেম্বরঃ হিন্দি দিবস উপলক্ষে শুক্রবার শিলচরে বেশ কিছু অনুষ্ঠান হয়। সর্বত্রই আলোচনায় ঘুরেফিরে স্থান পেয়েছে এনআরসি-র কথা। সারা অসম ভোজপুরি পরিষদের সভাপতি কৈলাশ গুপ্তা, উপসভাপতি সঞ্জীব রায় প্রমুখ শিলচরে সাংবাদিক সম্মেলন করে বলেন, ৪০ লক্ষ এনআরসি-ছুটের মধ্যে ৮ লক্ষ রয়েছেন ভোজপুরি। অহেতুক তাঁদের নাম খসড়ায় তোলা হয়নি। তাঁদের কথায়, রাজভাষা যার মাতৃভাষা, তিনি কী করে বিদেশি হতে পারেন! তবু তাঁরা খসড়া প্রকাশের পর কোনও চিন্তা করেননি। কিন্তু প্রতীক হাজেলার হলফনামা তাঁদের চিন্তাগ্রস্ত করে তোলে। এনআরসির রাজ্য সমন্বয়ক প্রস্তাব দেন, ১৯৫১-র এনআরসি, ১৯৭১ সালের আগের ভোটার তালিকা, সিটিজেনশিপ সার্টিফিকেট ও রেশন কার্ডকে নতুন করে পরীক্ষার সময় বিবেচিত হবে না। অথচ সাধারণ মানুষের কাছে এই ধরনের নথিই বেশি রয়েছে। সেগুলি বাতিল হলে রাজ্যে সঙ্কট দেখা দেবে বলে তাঁরা সতর্ক করে দেন। সুপ্রিম কোর্টেও তাঁরা হলফনামা দিয়ে একই কথা জানিয়েছেন।

কাছাড় হিন্দিভাষী ছাত্র পরিষদের অনুষ্ঠানেও এই ইস্যু টেনে আনেন বক্তারা। পুলিশ সুপার রাকেশ রৌশন মঞ্চে থাকলেও তিনি সে প্রসঙ্গ এড়িয়ে যান।

September 14: On Friday, a number of programmes were held on the occasion of ‘Hindi Dibosh.’ NRC was the talk of the town on that day. In a press meet organized by All Assam Bhojpuri Parishad, its President Kailash Gupta, Vice President Sanjib Roy and others said that out of the 40 lakh names excluded from the final draft of NRC, 8 lakh people are Bhojpuri. They said that their names have been excluded without any valid reasons.

They said that those whose mother tongue is the national language (Hindi), how can they be foreigners. Even then, these people were not tensed. But the affidavit filed by Prateek Hajela in the Supreme Court has made them feel insecured. NRC State Coordinator in an affidavit filed at Supreme Court has suggested excluding 5 documents which were included in the list of 15 in order to prove one’s citizenship. These 5 documents are NRC of 1951, voter lists prior to 1971, citizenship certificate and ration card. During the press meet it was made clear that such type of attempt will create crisis in the state as majority of the people possess this type of documents. They have also submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court in this regard.
