Aug. 8: To simplify the process, the government has created a new easier way for people to get the certificate on WhatsApp within seconds. The move will greatly help people who are planning to undertake inter-state travel as many states have made vaccine certificates mandatory. In a tweet, Union Health Minister’s office said – “Revolutionising common man’s life using technology! Now get COVID19 vaccination certificate through MyGov Corona Helpdesk in 3 easy steps. Save contact number: +91 9013151515. Type & send ‘covid certificate’ on WhatsApp. Enter OTP. Get your certificate in seconds,”.

To download COVID-19 vaccination certificates via WhatsApp can do so using following steps:

Step 1:  First, save the ‘Corona Helpdesk’ number: +91 90131 51515
Step 2:  Now, type ‘Covid certificate’ and send on the number via WhatsApp
Step 3:  Enter OTP received within 30 minutes to get your vaccine certificate

Step 4:  You will receive 6 digit OTP via text message in your registered mobile number

Step 5: Then type this 6 digit OTP via Whatsapp on above noted number (MyGov Corona Helpdesk Number).

Step 6: They will confirm your OTP, this may take up to 30 seconds time.

Step 7: After confirmation, you will receive the entire name with serial number against your registered mobile number.

As for example, here are the members registered with one registered mobile number –

1. X
2. Y
3. Z

Step 8: Type 1-3 to select a member for downloading Cowin Certificate.

Step 9:  Type a valid number between 1-3 to choose a member for downloading Cowin Certificate.

Step 10: Then you will receive the COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate in .pdf format.

Step 11:  Again, you will receive the below message-

Do you want to download Certificate for other members?

– Type Y for Yes and N for No

-Type Menu to view the Main Menu.

Step 12:  If you want to download more members who are also registered with your mobile number. You are required to- Type Y for Yes and N for No. Accordingly, you will receive the COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate in pdf format for other member too.
