১৮ জুন : মাধ্যমিক স্তরে শিক্ষকতার জন্য বিএড ডিগ্রি বাধ্যতামূলক করা হলেও পর্যাপ্ত পরিমাণে শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান না থাকার জন্য এই ডিগ্রি অর্জনে বঞ্চিত হচ্ছেন অনেক ছাত্রছাত্রী। এ কথা মাথায় রেখে এই সমস্যা থেকে পরিত্রাণ পেতে আসামের বিভিন্ন কলেজে বিএড পাঠ্যক্রম অন্তর্ভুক্তির জন্য সোমবার রাজ্য সরকার এক বিজ্ঞপ্তির মাধ্যমে অনুমোদন জানিয়েছে। উচ্চশিক্ষা সঞ্চালকালয় এই বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে কলেজগুলোকে বিএড পাঠ্যসূচি অন্তর্ভুক্তির অনুমতির জন্য যথাযথ কর্তৃপক্ষের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করে প্রয়োজনীয় কাজকর্ম করার আহ্বান জানিয়েছে।
উচ্চশিক্ষা সঞ্চালকালয় এজন্য কলেজগুলোর যে তালিকা প্রকাশ করেছে, তাতে আশ্চর্যজনকভাবে বরাক উপত্যকার কোনও কলেজকে রাখা হয়নি। কিন্তু কেন ? এ ব্যাপারে আসাম কলেজ টিচার অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের কাছাড় জোনের সভাপতি সুদর্শন গুপ্ত বলেন, রাজ্যের উচ্চশিক্ষা সঞ্চালকালয় বিএড পাঠ্যসূচি পড়ানোর অনুমতি দিয়ে রাজ্যের কলেজগুলোর যে তালিকা প্রকাশ করেছে, তাতে বরাক উপত্যকার একটিও কলেজ না থাকার বিষয়টি খুবই আশ্চর্যজনক।
সুদর্শন বলেন, বিএড কোর্স কলেজ স্তরে চালু করার জন্য রাজ্য সরকার কলেজগুলোকে চিঠি পাঠিয়েছিল। আর এই চিঠি পাওয়ার পর বরাক উপত্যকার কয়েকটি কলেজ এজন্য আবেদনও জানায়। কলেজগুলো এই আবেদন করে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কলেজ ডেভেলপমেন্ট কাউন্সিলের ডিরেক্টর দেবাশিস করের মাধ্যমে।
সুদর্শন বাবু আরও জানান, তিনি বিষয়টি নিয়ে সংস্থার কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির কর্মকর্তাদের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করবেন। যাতে কেন্দ্রীয় নেতারা সঞ্চালকালয়ের কর্তাদের সঙ্গে এ ব্যাপারে কথা বলে। তিনি বলেন, বরাকের তিন জেলায় যাতে কলেজগুলোতে শীঘ্র বিএড পড়ানোর অনুমতি আসে সেজন্যও তারা দাবি জানাবেন।
উচ্চ শিক্ষা বিভাগ বিএড পাঠ্যসূচির জন্য যে কলেজগুলো নির্বাচিত করেছে, তার মধ্যে রয়েছে গোরেশ্বর কলেজ, বর্মা কলেজ, এমসি কলেজ, বিএইচ কলেজ, নবজ্যোতি কলেজ, বরনগর কলেজ, বিবিকে কলেজ, বিশ্বনাথ কলেজ অভায়াপুরি কলেজ চরাইদেও-এর সোনারি কলেজ, বিজনি কলেজ, মঙ্গলদৈ কলেজ, ধেমাজি কলেজ, বিলাসিপাড়া বিএন কলেজ, ডিব্রু কলেজ, দুলিয়াজান কলেজ, নামরূপ কলেজ, ডিফু সরকারি কলেজ, গোয়ালপাড়া কলেজ, দুধনৈ কলেজ, ডিআর কলেজ।
এছাড়াও লামডিং কলেজ, আর্য বিদ্যাপীঠ কলেজ, গুয়াহাটি কলেজ, পান্ডু কলেজ, প্রাগজ্যোতিষ কলেজ, নর্থ গুয়াহাটি কলেজ, এসবিএমএস কলেজ, ডি কে কলেজ, রঙ্গিয়া কলেজ, গোঁসাইগাঁও কলেজ, কোকরাঝাড় সরকারি কলেজ, নর্থ লাকজির কলেজ, জাগীরোড কলেজ নওগাঁও কলেজ কলিয়াবর কলেজ শিবসাগর কলেজ, দরং কলেজ ইত্যাদি রয়েছে।
However, surprisingly though 60 plus provincialised colleges of the state were given permission to start integrated B Ed courses, but not a single college from the three districts of Barak Valley featured in this list published by DHE on Monday. But why? Speaking to way2barak, Sudarshan Gupta, President of Cachar Zone of Assam College Teachers’ Association (ACTA) also expressed surprised at this issue. He said, “I am also unable to understand the reason behind exclusion of the colleges of Barak Valley from this long list issued by DHE, Assam.”
Sudarshan Gupta further said that the state government issued letters through the affiliating universities to the colleges in order to apply for introducing B.Ed courses in their respective institutions which already has got the faculty of Education. As such, provincialised colleges under the jurisdiction of Assam University applied for starting B.Ed courses through the Director, College Development Council (CDC) of the varsity. But surprisingly, when the list of approved colleges was declared on Monday, not a single college from Barak Valley was included in the list.
This has led to great resentment even amongst the teaching community of the valley. In this regard, ACTA Cachar Zonal President, Sudarshan Gupta said, “We are going to bring this issue to the notice of the central leaders of ACTA immediately so that they could meet the DHE, Assam and get clarification in this matter. We would raise a strong demand through our association to provide permission to provincialised colleges of this valley to start integrated B.Ed course at the earliest.
Those colleges of Assam which have been granted approval by the DHE, Assam to start B.Ed course are: Goreswar College, Barama College, M C College, B H College, Nabajyoti College, Barnagar College, BBK College of Barpeta, Biswanath College, Abhayapuri College of Bongaigaon, Sonari College of Charaideo, Bijni College of Chirang, Mangaldoi College in Darrang, Dhemaji College, B N College of Bilasipara in Dhubri, Dibru College, Duliajan College, Namrup College in Dibrugarh, Diphu Government College, Goalpara College, Dudhnoi College, D R College in Golaghat, Lumding College in Hojai, D C B Girls’ College, Moriani College, Bahana College, Kakajan College, N N Saikia of Jorhat, Arya Vidyapeeth College, B Barooah College, Handique Girls College, Guahati College, Pandu College, L C B College, Pragjyotish College, North Guwahati College, S B M S College in Sualkuchi, J N Chaliha College, Dimoria College, DK College, Rangia College, Pub-Kamrup College, Gossaigaon College, Kokrajhar Government College, Lakhimpur Girls College, North Lakhimpur College, L T K College, Dhakuakhana College, Majuli College, Marigaon College, Jagiroad College, Nowgaon College, A D P College, Dhing College, Kaliabor College, Barbhag College, Tihu College, Sibsagar Girls College, Moran Collage, Gargaon College, Sibsagar College, Darrang College, T H B College, L O K D College, Chaiduar Collage – all in Sonitpur, Digboi College and Tangla College in Udalguri.
