None detected Covid +ve till 5 PM in Cachar on Sunday

Oct. 31: No new case of COVID-19 was reported till 5 PM on Sunday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 821 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which no person was found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test results were not made available. It needs mention here that 04 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Saturday.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 30 October to 5 PM on 31 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 31 October, there were 13 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 01 of them was in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
