No antibodies developed after Covishield dose; man files complaint against Poonawalla
June 1: More troubles seems to be on the way of Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla after a man filed a complaint against him and others alleging that he did not develop antibodies despite taking a Covishield dose. Pratap Chandra, who has filed the complaint at Lucknow’s Aashiana Police Station that he received the first dose of Covishield on April 8.
Chandra said he was not feeling well after receiving the first jab. After the first dose of Covishield”, the complainant took a Covid Antibody GT test from a government-approved lab. The test result revealed that the complainant did not develop any antibodies against Covid-19, instead his platelets were reduced to 1.5 lakh from 3 lakh. In his complaint, Chandra alleged that after taking the vaccine he has become more prone to the virus as his platelet count has been reduced by half.
Chandra has in his complaint also named Union Health Ministry Joint Secretary Luv Agarwal, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Director Balram Bhargava and National Health Mission Director Aparna Upadhyay besides others. Chandra has threatened to move the court if no FIR is registered against those mentioned in his complaint.
