NGO Paavan pledges for a clean environment, distribute dustbins
June 6: To commemorate World Environment Day, NGO Paavan undertook various activities. In order to spread the message of cleanliness, the members of Paavan on 5 June distributed dustbins at Police Town Out Post, Tarapur, Shani Mandir at Chengcoorie Road, Silchar Sadar Police Station, Shani & Hanuman Mandir at Shillongpatty and Shiv Mandir at National Highway.
Expressing their views, the members of Paavan said that, “Amidst the breathtaking trauma of rising COVID-19 cases around the Valley, a sincere effort has been conducted by Paavan to initiate a step towards keeping our surroundings clean. unclean environment is solely responsible for spoiling the health of the people around as dirt and disease go together. With such views and ideas, on the occasion of World Environment Day, a few members of PAAVAN maintaining Covid protocols, distributed dustbins at certain places of Silchar.”
The members of Paavan present during the distribution of dustbins were Anushaka Chakraborty, Ruhit Paul, Sunny Kashyap and Namrata Nath.
