Parimal Suklabaidya inaugurates new Paloi- Derby- Borjalenga Road in Dholai
Dec. 2: Assam Fisheries, Excise, Forest and Environment minister Parimal Suklabaidya on Tuesday inaugurated a newly constructed road in his Dholai Assembly Constituency. The 17.400 km long road has been improved and widened with a project cost of Rs 33.43 crore under Central road fund for the year 2016-17.
The improvement of this road will curtail the travel time and become helpful for the peoples of Derby, Paloi, Palongghat, Dholai and nearby areas of Silchar. In this regard, a programme was organized at the Puthikhal point under Puthikhal Gaon Panchayat in Dholai Constituency.

During the inaugural ceremony, Minister Parimal Suklabaidya said, “Our government is committed to developing the rural road infrastructure of the state. During the last four years, we have constructed many roads in Dholai Constituency.” Taking to his twitter handle, Minister Suklabaidya wrote, “The Paloi-Derby- Borjalenga (PDB) road project completion is a dream come true initiative & a blessing for Dholai. Our government completed this massive 17 km road in an impressive fast time frame prioritising the #SabkaSaathSabkaVikas policy of our govt”.
The inauguration function was attended by Additional Chief Engineer PWRD Barak Valley Bijoy Kr Sharma, Akbar Hussain Mazumder Executive Engineer PWRD Dholai & Sonai Territorial Road Division Dholai, Binod Singhi- Director of Gautam Construction Company Limited, Madhya Dholai ZPM Shashanka Chandra Paul, West Dholai ZPM Lakshmi Rani Yadav, District Media Incharge Mohitosh Tanti, Narsinghpur Block Mandal BJP General Secretary Kamalesh Das, Borjalenga Block Anchalik Panchayat President Subudh Das and other dignitaries.
