NGO “সাহায্যের হাত” distributes TLM at Sarbodoy Vidyalaya, Malugram

Feb. 27: NGO “সাহায্যের হাত” (Helping Hands), a social welfare wing of Sarbabharatiya Sylethi Forum on Sunday Trust donated a 100 litre water filter and 5 black boards at Sarbodoy Vidyalaya, Malugram ,Silchar. These were handed over to the president of Sarbodoy Trust, Bhaskar Dutta. It needs mention here that renowned freedom fighter, Sachindra Mohan Dutta (Lakhu Dutta) established this school.

Speaking during the occasion, Bhaskar Dutta, president of Sarbodoy Trust highlighted the efforts of late Laku Dutta in establishing this institution. He also highlighted the fact that during the establishment of the school, internationally acclaimed personality, Mother Teresa visited Silchar in response to Laku Dutta’s call, which was an incident to reckon for the valley. He extended his appreciation for the relentless and selfless efforts of the teachers of the school in carrying forward the ideology of the great Laku Dutta.

Treasurer of the Trust Ashok Kumar Deb and Atanu Choudhury gave a brief idea about how, instead of all odds, Sarbodoy Trust is working towards the welfare of the students with full dedication. Ratnadeep Das, president of Sarbabharatiya Sylheti Forum Trust also upholded that the prime objective of Team “সাহায্যের হাত” is to work for the distressed people of the society. He ensured that their team would be at service in future also, for overall development of the school. Two of the active members of the forum, Paritosh Bhattacharjee and Pijush Deb Roy also were present during the occasion.

Along with teachers and staff of the school, the event on this day was also attended by members of “সাহায্যের হাত” Ratnadeep Das, Pijush Deb Roy, Paritosh Bhattacharjee, Arnab Goswami, Mitra Goswami, Soma Chakraborty, Sumita Choudhury, Sutapa Roy, Arunima Chakraborty, Aparajita Dey, Mridula Chakraborty, Aparna Paul and Doyel Bhattacharjee Paul.
