Next of kin of 93 Covid deceased asked to contact DDMA Cachar for ex-gratia amount of ₹50,000
March 9: With regard to the notification issued by Revenue & D.M (General) Department, Dispur, Guwahati-6, Ex-Gratia of an amount of Rs. 50.000 is to be provided to next of kin of each COVID deceased under SDRF in respect of Cachar District. The Claim Form with regard to this Ex-Gratia has already been shared with all Circle Offices, Cachar and the same is also available online. This was stated in a press release issued by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Cachar on 9 March,2022.
The CEO of DDMA Cachar further stated that despite of wide dissemination of information with regard to all the aspects of this Ex-Gratia and collective efforts of DDMA Cachar, around 314 families have already been benefited. But 93 cases are still pending on the part of this district as the Office is not able to locate them. Anybody from the family of the deceased/ friends/ neighbours/ others who know may inform them about this Financial Assistance and help a bereaved family of the COVID deceased be benefited in a minimal way at least.
It was in this backdrop that the CEO urged upon the family of the deceased to contact DDMA, Cachar, 0/o. the Deputy Commissioner, N.M Gupta Road, Near Settlement Office, Silchar in person or through phone at 9401624141, 03842- 239249.
