New Train Services and Additional Stoppages at NFR

way2barak, February 3: As part of its commitment towards expanding railway services, NFR has introduced several new trains during the FY 2024 -2025 till date. Approximately, NFR has introduced about six pair of trains that started rendering its services during the current financial year.
The Guwahati – North Lakhimpur – Guwahati Jan Shatabdi Express (12047/12048) commenced operations on 3rd January 2025, providing a faster travel option. The Guwahati-New Bongaigaon-Guwahati Passenger (55818/55817) started on 4th January 2025, catering to short-distance travellers, while the Tinsukia-Naharlagun-Tinsukia Express (15911/15912) was introduced on 3rd January 2025, strengthening connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh. Additionally, the Anand Vihar Terminal-Radhikapur- Anand Vihar Terminal Weekly Express (14012/14011) was launched on 6th October 2024, and the Balurghat-Bathinda-Balurghat Express (15733/15734) began its services on 15th April 2024. Another significant addition to short-distance rail connectivity is the Tinsukia-Lumding-Tinsukia DEMU Passenger (75602/75603) that started its services from 18th June, 2024.
In addition to the introduction of new trains at NFR, additional stoppages at various stations to benefit railway passengers are also provided. The 12423/12424 Dibrugarh-New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express now halts at Rangiya (RNY) from 18th April, 2024. The 13174/13173 Sabroom-Sealdah- Sabroom Kanchenjunga Express has an additional stoppage at Bihara (BHZ) from 18th April, 2024, while the 15665/15666 Guwahati-Mariani-Guwahati BG Express stops at Bokajan from 17th April, 2024. Furthermore, the 15613/15614 Guwahati-Murkongselek – Guwahati Lachit Express now halts at New Misamari from 19th July, 2024. Additionally, the 15817/15818 Shokhuvi-Naharlagun-Shokhuvi Donyi Polo Express and the 22412/22411 Anand Vihar Terminal-Naharlagun-Anand Vihar Terminal Arunachal Express have additional stoppages at New Misamari from 19th April, 2024, and 21st July, 2024, respectively.
These new train services and additional stoppages reflect NFR’s continuous efforts to enhance passenger convenience, improve accessibility, and ensure a more seamless travel experience. The Northeast Frontier Railway remains committed to further strengthening rail connectivity in the region while catering to the growing needs of travellers.
