Neighbourhood Youth Parliament organised by NYK Hailakandi

March 12: In connection with the celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence, ‘Neighbourhood Youth Parliament’ programme was organised on Friday by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Hailakandi. The programme was organised in collaboration with Koyah Bagan Mahila Samity at Koyah Bazar L P School involving youth club members which was attended by 80 participants.

During the occasion, 75 candles were lit in front of the pictures of the freedom fighters. A rally displaying the National Flag was also organised in this connection. An awareness programme on voter’s awareness was also conducted. Assistant Professors Dr Monish Roy and Jageswar Deb, President of Barak Banga Sammelan Surojit Deb and District Youth Officer Kalpana Gangopadhyay attended the programme as special guests.
