Negative RT-PCR report mandatory for passengers transiting from 6 nations to India
way2barak, Dec.2: India on Monday made it mandatory for passengers from China, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand and Japan to upload a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report on Air Suvidha portal, with the test conducted within 72 hours prior to undertaking the journey.
The development comes at a time when China has been dealing with its worst Covid outbreak since the start of the pandemic. Notably, this will also apply to passengers transiting through these countries regardless of their originating countries, the government added. While daily Covid tally in India remains low, authorities have lifted up their guards to ensure preparedness.
