NCYS urges dist admin to display food chart along with details of food suppliers in CCC

August 31: Netaji Chatra Yubo Sangstha (NCYS), a socio-cultural organisation has been associated in various philanthropic activities since a long period of time. After the outbreak of the pandemic, they along with some other organisations have been associated with proving food commodities to the poor and the needy. In order to ensure transparency in governance of Covid Care Centres, NCYS in a memorandum sent to the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar through email appealed for displaying the name(s) of the food suppliers with their contact numbers and also the food charts day-wise in all the Covid Care Centres of the district.

NCYS in that email further mentioned, “We appreciate the hard work done by you and your team during this pandemic. But due to the activities of some persons, we do not want that people should malign the hard work put in by the administration. As such, in order to ensure transparency we humble request you to direct the food suppliers in the Covid Care centres to display their particulars along with the food chart in these venues. This would also become easy for you and your staff to monitor the same. We also take this opportunity to place on record our gratitude to the frontline Covid warriors.”

It needs mention here that our organization, Netaji Chatra Yubo Sanstha (NCYS), have been felicitated by National Union of Journalists (India) & Journalist Association of Assam (JAA), at Guwahati Press Club, Guwahati, Assam, on 27 August, 2020 as a front ranking fighter of COVID-19 pandemic from Barak Valley along with other organizations.
