Names of consumers in Cachar to be deleted who haven’t linked Aadhaar with Food Security Card

June 4: This for information of food security consumers of Cachar district that despite repeated instructions from the Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Department of the State Government, people are not submitting their Aadhaar details. Aadhaar details have been ongoing since last 2 months in an intensive manner in the district. Despite which, some such persons are yet to submit their Aadhaar details which raises the question of illegal beneficiaries or fake beneficiaries. These many cards could have then been given to genuine beneficiaries.

Thus, as instructed by Government, Cachar district administration has decided to delete the names of consumers who have not yet linked their Aadhaar card with their Food Security Card. However, the names of those who did not get Aadhaar card for NRC will not be deleted for the time being.

If the name and card of a valid beneficiary is deducted, then he / she will be reconsidered to add his / her name if he / she applies with appropriate documents including Aadhaar card. The beneficiaries may approach the office of the Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Branch, Silchar with authentic data. If there are new applicants who are eligible for NFSA, please apply to us with all requisite documents
